Apple founder Steve Jobs, was pronounced dead on Wednesday (10/05/2011). The news came and announced at Apple's official website.
"With great sadness, we announce that Steve Jobs died today. Apple lost a visionary and creative genius, and the world lost an amazing figure. We were fortunate enough to know and work with Steve really miss my dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve left the only company that he could wake up and his spirit will forever be a cornerstone of Apple, "wrote Apple's board of directors.
Steve Jobs, founder and former CEO of Apple, died at the age of 56 years. Jobs battling cancer since 2004 and had undergone a liver transplant in 2009. At that time he took a leave of absence for health reasons are not specifically mentioned.
Last January, he returned to take leave. This leave of absence after the three of his health problems started. Six weeks ago, Steve officially resigned from his post as CEO of Apple and appointed Tim Cook as his successor.
